Responsibilities

 

The Power and Energy engineering position is a full-time position located in Portland, Maine.  The candidate will,

  • Support development of components and systems for various vehicles and platforms.
  • Perform power system analysis through modeling and simulation.
  • Support integration and test efforts of electric propulsion technologies.
  • Participate in the design verification and validation efforts for tested components.
  • Assist in developing technical reports and presentations.
  • Support development of new business opportunities through proposal writing, presentations, and client relations.

 

Qualifications

 

 The candidate for this position shall have,

  • Bachelor of Science in either electrical, mechanical, or other related technical engineering field with a focus on electro-mechanical systems.
  • Minimum of 2 years of technical work experience in an area associated with medium/high voltage systems, high energy batteries, and electromechanical systems and controls. A Master of Science degree may substitute for two years of experience.
  • Experience with modeling and simulation using MATLAB is preferred.
  • Experience in one or more of the following technical areas is of additional interest: electrical component system integration; electric vehicles and supporting systems (rotating machinery, system protection, instrumentation, testing, etc.); high energy batteries; sensor network communication; electro-mechanical system controls.
  • Demonstrated oral & written communications skills.
  • Demonstrated the ability to work in a team environment.

 

Position Requirements:  

  • Employment is contingent upon successfully passing an employee background check and post-offer drug screen.
